The evening was hosted by Alphabet’s Chief Operating Officer, Nigel Fletcher, with entertainment provided by star of ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, comedian Hal Cruttenden.
Alphabet’s Chief Operating Officer Nigel Fletcher commented afterwards:
“These Awards are about recognising outstanding performance from our supply partners. It is about celebrating partnership and sharing industry-leading best practices to keep moving forward. I’m pleased to say that these awards have helped us to drive real innovation, customer focus and service excellence within our supplier network over the past 12 months and I’m absolutely certain they will deliver benefits to customers throughout 2018 and beyond.”
“It is only through working closely with suppliers like Clifford James Consultants that we can deliver the range of products and services we provide, as well as continually improve our offering to customers. Clifford James Consultants are our shining stars when it comes to Collaboration in 2018. They were chosen due to their focus on developing an already market-leading solution and their proactive, collaborative ethic; they make positive recommendations to help ensure that we’re maximising the opportunities from their specialist area of diminution. They demonstrated they are worthy winners of our Collaboration award through their approach and by delivering process improvements, increased reporting and developing new solutions for customers.”
Managing Director Stewart Fairhurst commented afterwards:
“We’re absolutely elated to win this prestigious industry award. We were a finalist in the 2017 Alphabet awards but left empty handed that night. So we got the team together and focused everyone on raising our game for 2018.
As one of the smaller operations working within Alphabet’s supplier network, alongside significant global players such as Kwik Fit and Avis, it’s fantastic that our specialised offering and agile, responsive approach to commercial partnerships has been recognised for the first time. We have a small but absolutely dedicated and expert team of people based out of Stocksfield, Northumberland who have grown up and developed with our business, so this fantastic recognition is really for them.”
